Darshan heads to Switzerland for ‘Roberrt’ shooting

Written by : Digital Native

Darshan had wrapped up the shooting of Roberrt some time ago and completed dubbing for the film as well. All that remains to be canned now is a couple of songs, which the team will be doing soon. According to reports, Darshan and the Roberrt crew will be heading to Switzerland next month where the team will shoot two songs in the Alps mountain range. The picturesque locations are sure to have movie buffs enthralled.

Donning the director’s robes for Roberrt is Tharun Sudhir. On making this film with Darshan, the director had said in an interview earlier that he has penned the film not as a director but as Darshan’s fan, which means that it will have all the elements that the star’s fans would love to watch on the silver screens.

Joining the star cast of this flick is Tollywood star Jagapathi Babu. Incidentally, Jagapathi Babu is not new to the Kannada film industry as he has acted in a couple of movies earlier.

The film will also feature Vinod Prabhakar, son of actor Tiger Prabhakar, in an important role. A photo of Darshan posing with Vinod on the sets of the film had gone viral, especially for Darshan’s new hairstyle. Incidentally, the two actors share a good rapport with both of them sharing screen space in Navagraha and Yajamana.

Chandramouli M, one of the dialogue writers for KGF: Chapter 1, worked with writer Rajshekar KL to pen the dialogues for Roberrt. When the film was announced, it was revealed that Darshan’s character in it is named Roberrt but the director put an end to all guesswork and clarified that the character will have nothing to do with the star’s cameo role in Chowka.

Roberrt is expected to release later this year but the date has not been finalised yet.
