Reports had surfaced a few weeks ago that Kannada star Darshan will be hosting a popular TV show. However, enquiries revealed that it is not true. The star himself made it clear that there was no truth in such reports while adding that he was busy with his acting schedule.

Darshan was quoted by Cinema Express as stating, “I can’t act on both platforms. I currently enjoy being on the big screen, which I don’t think I can do on television.”

Darshan currently has Odeya gearing up for release on December 12. Directed by MD Sridhar, the film is bankrolled by Darshan’s close friend Sandesh Nagraj under the banner Sandesh Productions. Raghavi Thimmayya (Sanah Thimmayya) plays the female lead in this flick. The actor had mentioned earlier that she got the offer to star in Odeya after she had auditioned for it amidst tough competition.

The technical crew of Oedya includes Krishna Kumar for cranking the camera, with the background score by V Harikrishna and music by Arjun Janya. Yashas, Pankaj, Niranjan, Samarth, Ravi Shankar, Devaraj, Sadhu Kokila, Chikkanna and Avinash form the supporting cast of the film. The shooting for Odeya was wrapped up in Switzerland last month with the team canning a song sequence in picturesque locations.

The muhurat of Darshan’s upcoming Gandugali Madakari Nayaka took place at Chitradurga on December 2 while the shooting is set to begin on Friday in Bengaluru. Directed by Rajendra Singh Babu, Gandugali Madakari Nayaka is produced by well-known producer Rockline Venkatesh under his banner. The film is inspired by the historical novel penned by BL Venu and the director has also reportedly done extensive research to get the characterisation right. The technical crew of this film will comprise Hamsalekha for music and Ashok Kashyap for cinematography.

Darshan also has Roberrt, directed by Tharun Sudhir, in his kitty.
