Best known for playing antagonist in Kamal Haasan’s Vettaiyaadu Villayadu and Dhanush’s Pollathavan, actor Daniel Balaji will be locking horns with Arvind Swami in director Selva’s tentatively titled film Vanangamudi. The actor is really kicked about the opportunity, as the role will portray him as a very stylish villain for the first time in his career.

“I will be joining the sets from March. For the first time, I am working with Arvind Swami sir and he has excelled as a villain in Thani Oruvan. Now, I find it challenging to outperform him in this film. I am looking forward to imbibe the characteristics of my role and give my best,” Daniel told Deccan Chronicle.

The film also stars Ritika Singh and Nandita Swetha in the lead. Interestingly, after paying suave villain in his recent films Thani Oruvan and Bogan, Arvind Swami will be playing a cop in the film.

Daniel was last seen in Vijay’s Bairavaa, and he has an interesting line-up of films in his kitty including Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Ippadi Vellum, and a yet-untitled Telugu project.
