Come Mumbai Metro fiasco and humorous tweets galore!

The News Minute| July 5, 2014| 03:30 pm ISTWhen the rain came pouring down inside the Mumbai Metro on July 2, the twitterati got creative once again, as did some Facebook users. All this, mostly thanks to the liberty that computer applications now give us in twisting photos as we please. The responses that this ‘free shower’ elicited were not those seething with discontent. Instead, the Twitter and Facebook users used humour and hyperbole to illustrate what happened. Perhaps, many of these people were not actually on the metro when the incident occurred, perhaps not even daily commuters. While most ‘photoshopped’ the images of the showering metro roof to included flooded floors with, some even with fish, others politicized the incident. A few people compared the incident to the Qantas airways flight where a drinking water pipe burst and caused the water to enter the cabin. One tweet commented on how, going by this comparison, India was now a first world country! In the midst of all the humour and all those happy to be taking a quick shower en route to office, there were also grateful Delhiites happy about their lesser metro woes.Take a look at the tweets and images! The buffalo bathMetro Phase II trial run- As cheeky as it getsAnimation artist Dhimant Vyas had some of the best images: Here's the most popular oneFlaunt some fancy monsoon wearFor the pious- by Dhimant VyasMaha Kumbh, now in MumbaiRain, rain, come againAnd, the joyride!
