Vijay Sethupathi is known as an extremely humble person and this is one of the reasons that has earned him a large fan base.

Despite attaining star status, he has remained down to earth and has never failed to recount his formative years during his interviews and interaction with the fans.

During the recently held Chennai International Film Festival, he recalled the days when he used to wait outside the offices and houses of various filmmakers in the hope of bagging an acting chance. He also pointed out that in those days he would go home late in the nights to give an impression to his family that he was busy acting but in reality he was only looking out for chances to act.

Speaking further, Vijay Sethupathi said that the film industry belongs to everyone who works hard and no one can claim it as their private property. These words are sure to motivate several youngsters who strive to make it big in the film industry.

Vijay Sethupathi, who is one of the most wanted stars in the Tamil film industry, began his career with uncredited roles and was seen in several movies in small roles for more than a decade before he got an opportunity to do a prominent role.

His big break came with the Seenu Ramasamy directorial Thenmerku Paruvakaatru in 2010. He went on to win the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Villain for playing the baddie in Sundarapandian. Films like Pizza, Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom, Soodhu Kavvum, Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, Rummy, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum were some of his hit movies. He has a slew of films in his kitty including 96, Super Deluxe, Seethakathi and Junga. Vijay Sethupathi is also set to make his debut in the Telugu film industry with the Chiranjeevi starrer Sye Raa Narashima Reddy.
