In Chiranjeevi’s 150th film, Tarun Arora to play the baddie

Written by : TNM

Model-turned-actor Tarun Arora, last seen in Tamil film Kanithan, has landed the opportunity to play the lead antagonist in megastar Chiranjeevi’s yet-untitled 150th film, which is the official remake of Tamil film, Kaththi. While Tarun has already signed on the dotted line, he will join the sets in a few days to commence shooting. He will reprise the role originally played by Bollywood star Neil Nitin Mukesh, who wowed critics and audiences alike with his performance.

Although the makers were hell-bent on roping in Neil; he wasn’t interested in playing the same role. Jagapathi Babu was also under consideration for quite some time. However, due to his extremely busy schedule, he couldn’t guarantee if he could set aside ample time for the project. Left with no other suitable option, director V.V Vinayak chanced upon Tarun whose performance in Tamil film Kanithan impressed him and he immediately signed him on.

Having already completed two schedules, the makers are yet to finalize the title and the leading heroine. If everything goes as planned, the film might hit the screens during Sankranti festival next year. The project marks the debut of Ram Charan as a producer.
