Vijay Sethupathi, who has lined up a bevy of projects in hand, is currently working on a comedy-action thriller with debutant director Arumugakumar. The movie has been interestingly titled Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren, which is said to be a crucial dialogue in the story.

Jointly produced by 7c's Entertainment and Amma Narayana Productions, Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren has Niharika Konidela, niece of Megastar Chiranjeevi, playing the leading lady.

The project also marks her feature film debut in the Tamil film industry. The film also stars Gautham Karthik in a crucial role.

Talking about her role, she told Deccan Chronicle, “I have always loved Tamil language and all my family members speak good Tamil. I couldn’t have asked for a better launch than this in K’town. I am not playing a run-of-the-mill heroine that you see usually. It is a substantial role. I have two names in the movie and you will know the reason while you watch the film.”

Talking about her co-stars Gautham Karthik and Vijay Sethupathi, she said: “Both are simple and down-to-earth people. They were very helpful during the shoot. It was a happy experience working with them.” She, however, has not revealed with whom she’s paired in the film. The anchor-turned-actress also said that her family is her biggest strength.

The first look of Niharika from the film was released recently. She was seen wearing heavy jewellery and an ethnic dress.

In the film, Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing tribal leader and he will be sporting eight looks.

“Sethupathi sir’s character is not serious or violent, but comic in nature. He plays a character named Yeman and the script commanded him to appear in different get-ups. Each time he wore a new get-up, it unintentionally ended up resembling another actor from the industry. I can’t reveal much at this point, but the first look will be released soon, giving a glimpse of his eight different characters,” a source said.

“I am sure ‘Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren’ would be a visual treat for all his fans. I was amazed with his commitment and enthusiasm,” the source added.
