Written by : TNM

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th project, an official remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi, was launched on Friday in Hyderabad. After months of dillydallying, the film was finally announced amid sky-high anticipation of fans and the entire industry. This film will mark the debut of Ram Charan as producer who will bankroll it under his home banner Konidela Productions, which was launched earlier in the afternoon by Chiranjeevi’s wife.

V.V Vinayak will direct the remake, which will hit the screens during Sankranti festival next year. Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in to compose the tunes, while Rathnavelu will crank the camera.

Contrary to reports, Nayanthara has not been chosen as the leading lady. The makers, according to a source, are still on the lookout for a heroine and are expected to finalize by the first week of May.

The private launch event, held at Konidela Production Company's office, was graced by Industry stalwarts Allu Arjun, Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, Naga Babu, Allu Arvind, Koratala Siva, Sharrath Marar, Gemini Kiran, DVV Danayya, Tirupathi Prasad, Paruchuri Venkateswara and family members. Chiranjeevi’s brother Pawan Kalyan, however, was not present.
