Bollywood director Kabir Khan was attacked by an angry mob outside the Karachi Airport on Wednesday, en route to Lahore. He was at Karachi to deliver a speech at the Market Association of Pakistan’s annual conference, MARCON.  

According to a video released by ANI, he was walking into the airport when he was surrounded by a group of people shouting anti-India and pro-Pakistan slogans. He was attacked verbally and berated for apparently showing Pakistan in poor light in his films, especially in his latest release ‘Phantom’. 

He was taunted for making movies on Muslims who are killed in India. Slogans like ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ and ‘Shame Shame’ were raised by the mob. He was also threatened with a shoe by one of the protesters.

However, Kabir Khan walked away, without reacting to their taunts. Interestingly, there were no guards or security personnel to stop the mob from heckling the director.

The ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ director later took to twitter to post his reaction on the incident.
