Recently Indian model turned actor Meera Mithun claimed that she has been removed from Arun Vijay's upcoming film Agni Siragugal directed by Naveen. The actor took to Twitter and alleged that she has been removed from the film.

“Am removed from the movie and all of ya all know who has been roped in now in my place for the movie @agnisirugugal @NaveenFilmmaker @TSivaAmma (Sic)”, she said in an apparent allusion to Akshara Haasan.

Now, the actor has accused Kamal Hassan of being the reason behind her removal from the project. She tweeted saying, "So it's clear now that nepotism is at its peak in Kollywood. The clout of Kamal Haasan ensured I am out of this movie and his own daughter is cast in this movie. Also, (director) Naveen and producer T Siva, your double standards are exposed."

However, director Naveen hit back and claimed that she was never a part of the film and that Akshara was replacing Shalini Pandey as the female lead.

Meera had also recently accused director Pandiraj and Sun Pictures of removing her scenes from Nammaveetu Pillai starring Sivakarthikeyan. She was allegedly told that her scenes will be removed as she participated in the Bigg Boss show which was telecast onVijay TV.

When Meera was inside the Bigg Boss house, she accused Cheran of "manhandling" her and using "harsh physical violence" during a particular task. Later during the weekend show, Kamal Hassan probed the issue further. Meera continued to stand by her view and said that she didn’t feel good about the way Cheran had behaved. Later Kamal played a short film of the incident and said that he didn't think Cheran had behaved badly. The other female housemates also supported him.

Meera Mithun made her acting debut with 8 Thottakkal directed by Sri Ganesh and she was also a part of Suriya's Thaanaa Serndha Koottam directed by Vignesh Shivn in which she was seen playing Madras fame Kalaiarasan's wife. Her recent release was Chandru KR’s Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari.
