Bala’s 'Nachiyaar' has a surprise addition to the cast

Written by : TNM

Filmmaker Bala always has a few surprises up his sleeve. Known for his unconventional casting choices, he has roped in popular Kannada producer Rockline Venkatesh to play a pivotal role in his next film Nachiyaar, a crime-thriller starring Jyotika and G.V Prakash Kumar in the lead.

Apparently, when Bala approached Venkatesh with the offer, the latter wasn’t sure why he was being considered. Nevertheless, he accepted the opportunity because he didn’t want to miss working with the National Award-winning filmmaker.

The project officially went on floors on Wednesday. Jyotika, who walked out of Vijay 61 for this film, plays a cop in the movie and Prakash will essay a role with negative shades. It’s for the first time that Bala is working with Jyotika and Prakash, and this combination has already attracted a lot of attention.

The film will be predominantly shot in and around Tamil Nadu, and is reportedly based on a real life incident involving a psycho killer.
