After the mammoth success of the Baahubali series, actor Prabhas is now a pan-India star with a loyal fan following even from Japan. As the actor is gearing up for his next release Saaho this August, Prabhas, who has always kept away from social media, made his Instagram debut recently.

Prabhas decided to take his Instagram plunge after a lot of requests from his fans to make his debut on the photo-sharing website, to get a glimpse of his personal life. Giving in to his fans’ demand, Prabhas made his grand debut on Instagram on April 14.

In a matter of a few days, the actor’s official-handle under the name ‘actorprabhas’ has gained 857k followers. The account is yet to be verified and the actor has only one post - his display picture - so far. Since the account doesn’t have the official blue tick, fans were wondering whether it is a fan-made one, similar to many of the actor’s fan-made pages on Facebook and Twitter.

However, sources close to the actor confirmed that Prabhas has officially made his entry and that his back-end team is working on giving a proper debut to the actor on the site. Prabhas is not following anyone currently, but his followers are only expected to increase manifold once the actor becomes active on the photo-sharing site.

Prabhas is currently busy shooting for Saaho, his first movie after the astounding success of the Baahubali series. With the star enjoying a big fan following across India, Saaho is sure to get a big opening. The film is being made in Telugu and will be released in Tamil and Hindi as well.

The film’s star cast includes Neil Nitin Mukesh, Lal, Arun Vijay, Mandira Bedi, Jackie Shroff, Vennela Kishore, Mahesh Manjrekar and Chunkey Pandey in supporting roles. While Prabhas plays the male lead in this action entertainer, sharing screen space with him as his heroine is Shraddha Kapoor.
