Baahubali gets rare honour, to be screened at prestigious Cannes film festival

Baahubali, which has been shown at major film festivals abroad, will add another feather to its cap when it is screened at the prestigious Cannes film festival later this year.

On May 16, at the Marché du Film, Baahubali - The Beginning will be screened at Palais K at 8:30 pm.

The film screening will be preceded by a panel discussion on Virtual Reality titled “Increasing the Intensity and Scale of Epic Film Experiences through VR”. It will be attended by the director SS Rajamouli, producer Shobu Yarlagadda and Raja Koduri, Senior Vice President of Radeon Technology Group (RTG), AMD.

RTG is currently working in association with Arka Mediaworks, the makers of Baahubali to create a first of its kind VR (virtual reality) experience based on the movie Baahubali and it would be helmed by S.S. Rajamouli himself.

The Radeon Technologies Group is an autonomous graphics division and part of the AMD group, which is one of the leading companies in high-performance computing and visualization technologies.

Marché du Film is the premiere worldwide film market, which provides an opportunity to meet professionals including producers, sellers and festival organisers to exchange and promote projects.
