The Malayalam movie Athiran turned out to be smash hit following which its Telugu dubbed version is all set to be released under the title Anukoni Athidhi. The film's female lead is played by Sai Pallavi, who enjoys a big fan following in the Telugu states.

Confirming its release, the film’s producers pointed out in an interview to the Indian Express, “The movie has completed its censor formalities and it will hit the theatres on November 15. The story is based on certain true incidents that had happened in Kerala back in 1970. Not just Sai Pallavi, both Prakash Raj and Atul Kulkarni are familiar to the Telugu audience. Ghibran, who recently worked on Prabhas’ Saaho has composed the background score for the project.” Anukoni Athidhi will hit the marquee on November 15.

Fahadh Faasil and Sai Pallavi play the lead roles in this film, which is set in picturesque locations at the hill station Ooty. Directed by debutant Vivek, Athiran’s technical crew includes music director Jayahari for soundtrack and Ghibran to score the background music while Anu Moothedath has cranked the camera and Ayoob Khan is the editor.

It may be noted that Sai Pallavi managed to strike a chord with the Telugu audiences with her debut film Fidaa. It went on to become a huge hit with the collections soaring at the box office. In order to cash in on the popularity of the actor, the makers of the Malayalam movie Athiran had planned to dub the film in Telugu.

Sai Pallavi currently has the Telugu flick Virata Parvam in which she is sharing the screen space with Rana Daggubati. The official launch of Virata Parvam happened some time ago with the veteran actor Venkatesh sounding the clapboard and the Addanki MLA Gottipati Ravi switching on the camera.
