Asif Ali’s son to debut in ‘Underworld’

The first look poster of the Malayalam movie Underworld was unveiled recently and garnered the attention of film buffs in a big way. And now the film’s lead star Asif Ali has disclosed another interesting piece of information about this action entertainer. Yes, he revealed that his son Adam Ali will be making his acting debut with this film. Adding a poster of the movie featuring him with his son, Asif wrote, “Junior joins Underworld”.

Besides Asif Ali in the lead role, Underworld also has Farhan Faasil, Mukesh and Lal Jr. in pivotal roles. While Asif Ali’s character is named Stalin John, Farhan Faasil will be playing a character named Majeed, Mukesh will play Padmanabhan Nair and Lal Jr. will be seen as Solomon. Samyuktha Menon and Ketaki Narayan have been roped in to play the female leads in this flick.

The film, touted to be a thriller, is directed by Arun Kumar Aravind and bankrolled under the banner D14 Entertainments. The scripting for this entertainer has been done by Shibin Francis while the rest of the technical crew includes Alex J Pulickal for cinematography and music by Yakzan Gary Pereira and Neha Nair.

Asif Ali has a slew of other projects in different stages of production in his kitty apart from Underworld. He and Amala Paul have been roped in to play the lead pair in the upcoming Malayalam film Parannu Parannu. To be directed by Sugeeth, this will be a complete romantic comedy entertainer. Besides Amala Paul, Parannu Parannu will have two more heroines who are yet to be revealed. The groundwork for this project is on and the shooting is expected to commence later this year. Being a rom com, its makers are aiming for a Valentine’s Day release next year.

Asif Ali’s other projects include Kakshi: Amminippilla, Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha, Kunjeldho and the yet to be titled Rajeev Ravi directorial.
