Arun Vijay to play a stylish cop in ‘Kuttram 23’

It goes without saying that Tamil actor Arun Vijay’s career took off after starring with Thala Ajith Kumar in “Yennai Arindhaal”. Even though he played a menacing villain in the film, it didn’t stop the actor from winning over audiences and critics alike with his performance.

As he awaits the release of his maiden production venture “Kuttram 23”, in which he plays a cop, Arun feels the film will definitely stand out.

Talking to Deccan Chronicle about the project, which is directed by Arivazhagan, he said, “I play a stylish cop in this medical investigative crime thriller. We wrapped up the shoot day before yesterday at Kumbakonam in a majestic 17th century church. We had to wait for nearly two months to seek permission for shooting and the visuals have come out exceptionally well. We are planning to release the film sometime in September.”

He also confirmed that his much delayed film “Vaa Deal” will finally hit the screens later this month. Arun said, “This long delay was because of the satellite right issues. ‘Vaa Deal’ is a fast paced script and a full-fledged commercial entertainer. I play a talkative, enthusiastic character. I also believe that the film would be relevant whenever it releases as the subject is fresh.”
