Recently, social media has been abuzz with a video featuring most of the popular video games of the 90s including the likes of Dangerous Dave, Super Mario, Contra, Street Racer amongst many more.  

The video is bound to make gamers who started playing in the pre-2000s reminiscent of the good, old days of 2-D gaming.

For those who started playing video games post 2000, it is hard to imagine that 2-D gaming once held gamers in thrall.

But, during the early days of video games, even 2-D games got people hooked up and changed the normal course of life. Teenagers flocked to video game parlors spending all their pocket money as the era where video game consoles could be attached to TV sets came much later.
