While Sandalwood star Sudeep all set to make his Bollywood debut with the third instalment of the Dabangg franchise, Bollywood actor and producer Arbaaz Khan is all set to make his Kannada debut with Where Is My Kannadaka.

The film is touted to be an action comedy starring Golden Star Ganesh and Bollywood actor Patralekha. The film will be directed by husband and wife duo Raaj and Damini, who have several prestigious television serials to their credit. This film marks the debut of the duo into films.

“The script is interesting. Also, I wanted to explore regional films. I have already done two Telugu films while this would be my first Kannada film. I am excited to be part of a good story,” said Khan, confirming the news to the New Indian Express.

The film will also see the Kannada debut of Patralekha. “I am super excited to be working on it. While I can’t reveal about the role right now, I can definitely say that it’s a kind of role that I haven’t portrayed on screen so far and that makes it special for me,” PTI quoted the actor as saying.

It may be noted that Arbaaz Khan’s 2007 hit film Shaadi Ke After Effects was dubbed in Kannada as Yella Ok Maduve Yaake, which had Ganesh playing a guest role. However, the film never saw a release.

Where Is My Kannadaka will go on the floors in April. Reports say that a major portion of the film will be shot in London in a 30-day schedule. The rest of the movie will be filmed in and around Bengaluru and Mangaluru. It will be a start-to-finish schedule for the film.

The muharat for WIMK was held at the Panchamukhi Temple in Mahalakshmi Layout in Bengaluru. The makers are expecting to release the film by the end of this year.
