AR Rahman teams up again with Rajeev Menon for nephew GV Prakash’s upcoming project

Written by : TNM Staff

Composer AR Rahman, it seems, is a superb multi-tasker. In the middle of a busy schedule involving director Shankar's magnum opus “2.0” and Mani Ratnam's “Kaatru Veliyidai”, the Oscar Award-winner has also reportedly composed nine songs for nephew GV Prakash's yet-untitled upcoming project.

The film is being directed by cinematographer-turned-director Rajeev Menon, whose last film “Kandukonden Kandukonden” brought together actors from across industries, including Ajith, Tabu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Mammootty and Abbas. Rajeev’s yet-to-be-named project marks the comeback of one of Kollywood's most loved director-composer combos.

Tipped to be a story centered around music, the film will feature Prakash in the role of a drummer and is expected to go on the floors once Prakash completes his ongoing assignments. The makers are yet to finalise the female lead for the film.

The project is expected to be the most expensive project in Prakash’s acting career so far, and will feature a crew of some of the best technicians in the country.

Meanwhile, Prakash's “Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru”, directed by Rajesh, will be releasing this Diwali.
