AR Rahman might replace GV Prakash for Vijay’s next

Written by : TNM

We had previously reported that actor Vijay, director Atlee, and composer G.V Prakash Kumar, who had earlier worked on this year’s blockbuster "Theri", are teaming up for a project, which will be bankrolled by Thenandal Films with screenplay written by "Baahubali" fame, Vijayendra Prasad. Apparently, the makers have changed their minds and are said to be keen on roping in double Oscar-winning composer A.R Rahman instead of his nephew Prakash.

“The makers have already initiated talks with Rahman, and if everything goes as planned, he might come on board,” a source said.  The project, according to sources, is most likely to go on the floors early next year. Vijay is currently busy wrapping up "Bairavaa". With 80 percent of the film already completed, the makers are planning to finish the project by November, including a foreign song shoot.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that Vijay is planning to team up with Selvaraghavan next. On Ganesh Chaturthi earlier this year, Selva had met Vijay and narrated a few lines from his story. Even though Vijay is yet to give his nod, Selva has been asked to complete the script.
