Oscar-winning music director AR Rahman has walked out of Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.

However, it is neither due to some creative differences nor due to remuneration, but Rahman's hectic schedule, which is the reason why he couldn't work for the film.

Talking to The Hindu, AR Rahman said “Chiranjeevi is a fantastic actor and I have great respect for him. It’s a beautiful film and has a great story to tell. But I have other projects and my life is all over the place. I am also promoting my film (99 Songs, which he has produced and co-written). Sometimes I have to be practical about how much I can take up.”

It is considered to be a big setback for the makers as they already deferred the shoot due to the exit of cinematographer Ravi Varman recently who was replaced by R Rathnavelu.

Now, young composer SS Thaman who has specially composed the background score for the first look motion poster is considered to be roped in as the composer of the film. The motion poster of the film impressed the audience and ‘Mega star’ fans alike.

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, is touted to be a biopic of the late freedom fighter who had fought the British much before the Sepoy Mutiny in 1857 and was hanged, and will have Chiranjeevi playing the lead role.

Surendar Reddy is directing this historical magnum opus and it will be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi among other languages. While Chiranjeevi plays the legendary Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Amitabh Bachchan, Nayanthara, Jagapati Babu, Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Nassar, Mukesh Rishi, Raghu Babu, Subbaraju, Ravi Kishan, Paruchuri Venkateshwara Rao and Jayaprakash.

Rajeevan is heading the art department to re-create the 18th century magic. The film is being produced by Chiranjeevi’s son, Ram Charan, under their home banner Konidela Productions.
