Anupama Parameswaran to star opposite Puneeth in ‘Natasarvabhouma’?

Written by : Digital Native

Going by the reports that are surfacing, Puneeth Rajkumar’s Natasarvabhouma will have two leading ladies. Earlier, there were reports that Rachita Ram would be playing the lead opposite Puneeth in the film but now we hear that talks are on with another heroine, Anupama Parameswaran, to play Puneeth’s lead pair.

Anupama made her debut with the Malayalam film Premam, which went on to become a huge hit. Since then she has been bagging offers consistently in Telugu and Tamil as well. If she goes on to sign the deal for Puneeth’s Natasarvabhouma, then it would mark her debut in Sandalwood.

Pavan Wadeyar is directing Natasarvabhouma, which is being bankrolled by RockLine Venkatesh under his banner Rockline Productions. D Imman is composing the music for this flick while the camera is being handled by Vaidhi. The shooting for the film began a few weeks ago and will go on for the next couple of months. According to trade sources, the film will be out in theatres during the later part of this year.

There have been reports doing rounds that the film belongs to the horror genre. What sparked off these baseless rumours is a new poster for the film that was released showing Puneeth sporting a black thread with nine different coloured stones on his wrist.

It may be mentioned here that Puneeth’s dad, the legendary actor Rajkumar, was honoured with the title ‘Natasarvabhouma’ and he had acted in a film with the same title. Puneeth had said in an interview earlier that this made him both excited as well as nervous to work on the project and that he would strive to give it his best.

Pavan Wadeyar made his debut as director with the Kannada film Govindaya Namaha in 2012 and has directed films such as Potugadu (Telugu), Googly, Rana Vikrama, Jessie and Nataraja Service. For his debut movie, Pavan went on to win the SIIMA award for the Best Debut Director.
