Anirudh to compose tunes for bilingual 'Thumbaa'

Music director Anirudh has been signed up to compose the tunes for the bilingual Thumbaa. It will be a comedy-adventure directed by Harish Ram. On the film, its director reportedly told in an interview to the Deccan Chronicle, “The story of Thumbaa is set mostly inside the dense forests of the Western Ghats. This movie will be nothing short of a VFX extravaganza and people from all sections will be amazed to watch the animals come alive on screen.”

The promo video of this bilingual was released some days ago garnering a lot of attention. The video has Anirudh composing the tunes for the film with a CG-created tiger beside to give a feel of the film. 

On the video, the director had said, “The promo has added to the excitement. Not just the tiger, all the animals in the movie were created meticulously through VFX to make them look real. But this is just a glimpse of what the audience will get to watch in the theatres.”

Anirudh, who shot to limelight with the ‘Kolaveri’ song in Tamil, made his debut in the Telugu film industry with Pawan Kalyan starrer Agnyathavaasi. He is currently scoring the music for the Nani starrer Jersey.

Jersey is being bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainments and helmed by director Gowtam Tinnanuri. The film will have Navin Nooli in charge of the editing and Sanu Varghese cranking the camera. Jersey has Nani and Shraddha Srinath playing the lead pair with Sathyaraj, Brahmaji and Ronit Kamra in supporting roles. The shooting of Jersey is currently under progress and it is reaching the final stages. The post production will begin soon and plans are on to release it on April 19.
