If sources are anything to go by, Amala Paul is most likely to team up with none other than superstar Rajinikanth in his next project which is set to be produced by his son-in-law and actor Dhanush.

The project will reunite the Kabali pair - Rajinikanth and director Pa. Ranjith - and fans have been going gaga over the project ever since its announcement on Monday night.

Amala, who is currently shooting for Dhanush's ‘Vada Chennai’, is said to have been the only actress considered for the project from the beginning.

Having already worked with Dhanush on two occasions including last year's smash hit, Velai Illa Pattathari, the Myna star is undoubtedly on a roll.

She was recently signed on for Kannada remake of VIP too.

Meanwhile, Ranjith has clarified the new project won't be a sequel to Kabali. Talking to Vikatan, he confirmed that he’s working on a fresh project.
