Ajith to start shooting for next project from August

Written by : TNM

Actor Ajith Kumar’s next project, tentatively titled AK 57, was launched last week with an official puja. The film, which will be helmed by Siruthai Siva, will be predominantly shot across exotic locations in Europe and the regular shooting is expected to commence from August. According to sources, Ajith, who is teaming up with Siva for the third time, will join the sets in Bulgaria for the first schedule in the first week of August.

Tipped to be a spy thriller, the project features Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady and it’s the first time she has teamed up with Ajith. The makers had originally planned to rope in Anushka Shetty, but due to unavailability of dates, she couldn’t give her nod and the offer eventually went to Kajal. Kajal has had a very bad year so far with three back-to-back flops in Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Brahmotsavam and Do Lafzon Ki Kahani.

Music composer Anirudh Ravichander, after Veeram and Vedalam, has teamed up with Siva for the third time.
