Written by : Digital Native

If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, actor Ajith may do a film for producer Boney Kapoor next. While there’s no official confirmation with respect to the news yet, rumours about the collaboration have been doing the rounds since Tuesday evening.

Apparently, Boney Kapoor and his late wife Sridevi have been planning to collaborate with Ajith for a long time. It’s worth mentioning that Ajith played a cameo in the dubbed Tamil version of English Vinglish, and on the sets, Ajith promised to do a film for Boney Kapoor. According to the latest reports, Ajith has agreed to honour his promise and sign a film soon in Boney Kapoor’s production.

It is already known that Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru director H Vinoth has pitched a one-liner story to Ajith. If everything goes as planned, this project could be bankrolled by Boney Kapoor and it’d mark his first production in the south.

Ajith is currently busy shooting for Viswasam, which marks his fourth collaboration with director Siva of Veeram and Vedalam fame. At the audio launch of Thambi Ramaiah’s Maniyar Kudumbam, Siva revealed that Viswasam is being planned as Pongal 2019 release and that they’ve so far completed 40 percent of the shoot.

The project, being bankrolled by Satyajothi Films, features Nayanthara as the leading lady. In a first time collaboration, D Imman has been finalised to compose music. He recently revealed that he’s thrilled to be part of the project. The film also features Yogi Babu, Vivek, Kovai Sarla and Thambi Ramaiah among others in important roles. Viswasam is being made on a much lesser budget than Vivegam, which was a whopping Rs 120 crore action spectacle.
