Aishwarya Rajesh thrilled to be working with Mani Ratnam

Aishwarya Rajesh has bagged a role in Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film. Confirming the news, the actor is reported to have said that her long pending desire to work with the legendary director finally came true. She is reported to have said, “I’m thrilled. It’s been my long time desire to work with Mani sir. I play one of the leads but I don’t know with whom I will be paired yet.”

Enquiries as to the rest of the star cast revealed that Jyothika has been signed up to play a pivotal role in this yet-to-be-titled film and talks are on with Nani to play the male lead. Reports say that the film’s shooting will commence later this year.

Aishwarya Rajesh’s career has been going great with the actor bagging the Tamil Nadu State Award for Best Actress for her role in Kaaka Muttai and since then, she has acted in films such as Dharma Durai, and Hello Naan Pei Pesuren. She has also acted in the Malayalam film Jomonte Suvisheshangal and her latest release Daddy marked her debut in Bollywood. She is currently busy with the Gautham Menon directorial Dhruva Natchathiram and the Vettrimaran directorial Vada Chennai.

Aishwarya Rajesh has won several awards in her career including the Norway Tamil Film Festival Awards, 6th South Indian International Movie Awards, and Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.
