Aishwarya Dhanush to perform dance recital at UN Headquarters

The multi-talented Aishwarya Dhanush will be performing at the United Nations Headquarters on International Women’s Day this year. Having been trained by dance exponent Meenakshi Chittaranjan, Aishwarya has been performing at various events lately, exhibiting her skills.

Confirming this, she had posted on Twitter: “It’s my honour n pleasure to be performing at the U.N. headquarters on International Women’s Day this year.” She has also been honoured with the Kalaimamani award by the Tamil Nadu state government.

Aishwarya, daughter of Superstar Rajinikanth, is married to actor Dhanush. She debuted as a director with the movie 3 and recently had her book, Standing on an Apple Box, released. Apart from directing movies and writing a book, Aishwarya has also sung a couple of songs in Tamil movies and dubbed for Reema Sen in the movie Aayirathil Oruvan, directed by her brother-in-law Selvaraghavan.

Her last film release was Vai Raja Vai and she is currently working on the biopic of the Paralympics gold medallist Thangavelu Mariappan.

It may be noted here that Aishwarya is the United Nation’s Goodwill Ambassador Women’s Advocate for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment in India.
