After the success of Thozha, Karthi is all set to wow audiences in Kashmora, a mega budget bilingual supernatural thriller which is slated for a Diwali release.

Director Gokul recently wrapped up shooting for the film, in which Karthi plays five different avatars while Nayanthara has been cast as a princess and Sri Divya as an investigative journalist.

The producers, in the meanwhile, have kept up audience interest by confirming the date of release. “#Kaashmora releasing this #Diwali2016  @Karthi_Offl @DirectorGokul @prabhu_sr”.

Kashmora is said to be the costliest film in Karthi’s career and is said to be first Indian horror movie to cross a budget of Rs 60 crore.

The film has elaborate VFX, with CG footage amounting to close to 70 minutes. The movie is also said to be the first Indian film to use a 360-degree omni-directional camera rig for shooting a particular sequence.

It has been produced jointly by SR Prakashbabu and SR Prabhu under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures and the music is scored by Santhosh Narayanan.
