After 'Sye Raa', Chiranjeevi hops on board for Koratala Siva's next

Chiranjeevi who is basking in the success of his latest release Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, has begun working for director Koratala Siva's film. The film was launched in a customary ceremony to coincide with Dussehra which was attended by Chiranjeevi, his mother Anjana Devi, son Ram Charan and wife Surekha among others. The film will be bankrolled jointly by Ram Charan under his banner Konidela Production Company in association with Niranjan Reddy’s Matinee Entertainment.  

Meanwhile, Chiru is trying to get back to shape after playing the freedom fighter Uyylalawada Narasimha Reddy in Sye Raa. He needs to be fit for his role in Koratala Siva’s film so he will be undergoing a rigorous fitness regimen before joining the sets, we hear.

It is reported that Chiru is keen on having the former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, as his heroine and the filmmakers have initiated talks with the actor. It needs to be seen if she will hop on board for the film. Also, some top names like Anushka, Nayanthara and Tammannah are in the fray. There are reports that Koratala Siva is keen on roping in Kiara Advani after working with her in the Mahesh Babu starrer Bharat Ane Nenu. An official confirmation on the same is expected. The film will have cinematography by Tirru while Sreekar Prasad will take care of the editing.

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, directed by Surender Reddy, has grossed over Rs 200 crore worldwide in its opening weekend. The film is bankrolled by Chiru’s son and actor Ram Charan Teja under his home banner Konidela Production Company on a budget of Rs 200 crore. It has a bevy of stars from different film industries including Amitabh Bachchan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Tamannaah, Jagapathi Babu, Kiccha Sudeep, Pragya Jaiswal and Brahmaji.
