After Premam, director Chandoo to team up with Ravi Teja

Written by : TNM

Chandoo Mondeti proved his mettle with Premam, despite stiff criticism about the idea of remaking the highly celebrated Malayalam film starring Nivin Pauly. This Diwali marked the 25th day of the film in cinemas and it has been adjudged a super hit, much to the surprise of online trollers who only wished for the film to turn out to be a joke. The director is elated with the film’s success and if the industry grapevine is anything to go by, he’s teaming up with Ravi Teja next.

Apparently, Chandoo had pitched a story to Ravi even before he had planned to make Premam. Back then, the idea to collaborate with the Kick actor was futile as the latter was already committed to a few projects. However, following the success of Premam, and surprised by the way it has been received, Ravi gave collaborating with Chandoo a thought, and immediately expressed his interest to work on the story he had originally pitched.

While the project is still in the agreement stage, it is learnt from reliable sources that Ravi is scouting for a producer who could bankroll the film. In a week or two, everything is expected to be finalized and a formal announcement will be made.
