After Hindi debut with 'Raanjhanaa', Dhanush works again with Aanand Rai in 'Nimmo'

Dhanush, who made a dream lead role debut in Bollywood with director-producer Aanand L Rai's Varanasi-set romance drama "Raanjhanaa", has shot for a crucial cameo role in "Nimmo", Aanand's forthcoming low-budget production under his home banner Color Yellow.

The film directed by Rakul Shanklya features child artist Karan Dave as the main protagonist in the story with a special cameo by Dhanush, who reportedly shot his portions in Mumbai last week. Following the success of "Raanjhanaa", Dhanush teamed up with Aanand for the second time to co-produce the Amala Paul, Revathy-starrer "Amma Kanakku", official Tamil remake of the Hindi film "Nil Battey Sannata".

"Nimmo" marks Dhanush's third collaboration with Aanand L Rai, with whom he shares a great rapport. Dhanush had also confirmed in a recent interview that he will join hands with Aanand L Rai for a straight Hindi project after wrapping up current assignments including Gautham Menon's "Enai Nokki Paayum Thota", Vetrimaaran's highly-anticipated gangster drama "Vada Chennai" and his Hollywood debut with Iranian-born acclaimed French filmmaker Marjane Satrapi.
