Actor Vishal and team to contest Tamil Film Producer Council election

Written by : TNM Staff

Nadigar Sangam Secretary and actor-producer Vishal, who has been temporarily suspended from the Tamil Film Producer Council (TFPC) has reacted to his suspension.

In a recent media interaction Vishal said " I am surprised that a casual statement of mine was taken so seriously. I did not receive any official communication from the producer council regarding my suspension. Actually, it should have been informed to me first and then to the press. But here the situation is vice versa."

Vishal also raised questions about the action taken by the producer's council on the complaints about piracy, which he has raised.

On questions about the upcoming elections of the Producer's council, he replied "It will be again a team of youngsters like Nadigar Sangam and we will garner the support of young producers, actor-turned-producers and director-turned-producers to form a team and contest in the elections.”

Vishal was suspended on Monday by TFPC for criticising the functioning of its office-bearers in an interview to a Tamil magazine.
