Actor Raghavendra Rajkumar wants to return to the screen after more than a decade

Kannada legend Dr Rajkumar’s second son Raghavendra Rajkumar has announced that he is preparing to return to the screen after more than a decade. Raghavendra recently told media persons that he is getting ready to don the greasepaint and will take up roles that befit his age.

He also revealed that plans are on to build a memorial for his late mother and noted producer Parvathamma Rajkumar next to Dr Rajkumar’s memorial, and both will be converted into a single memorial. Raghavendra added that three awards will be instituted in the names of his late parents, bearing a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh. While one award will go to a person from the film industry, the other two will be given to people from different walks of life.

While Raghavendhra Rajkumar’s son Vinay made his starring debut with the 2015 release Siddhartha and followed it up with Run Antony last year, Raghavendra was last seen on screen in the 2004 release Pakkadmane Hudugi.

Raghavendhra is also a noted producer having bankrolled films such as Shruthi Seridaaga, Jackie, Anna Bond and Yaare Koogadali.
