Vijay Deverakonda’s Hero was launched recently and we hear that he plays a biker in it. According to reports, the star is undergoing special training under ace biker Rajini Krishnan to get into the skin of the character he is to play in Hero. The training sessions are happening in Chennai, report sources. The report also suggests that the makers are spending Rs 8 crore for a stylish bike race sequence.

The muhurat of this film, which is directed by Anand Annamalai, happened in Hyderabad with director Koratala Siva sounding the clapboard. The official launch of the film was confirmed through the Twitter handle of the producers Mythrie Movie Makers – “#Hero launched! Starring @TheDeverakonda, @MalavikaM_ and Directed by the debutant #AnandAnnamalai. Thank you @sivakoratala garu and Gottipati Ravi garu for gracing the pooja event!

Touted to be a sports drama, this film has Malavika Mohanan pairing up with Vijay Deverakonda. Bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, it is touted to be a complete entertainer that will have the audiences glued to their seats. Plans are on to release this film in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The regular shooting is expected to commence soon.

It may be noted that the film faced trouble in March when Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero was also launched with the same title. Following which director Anand Annamalai filed a complaint at the Tamil Film Producers’ Council a couple of months ago that he had registered the title Hero a year ago but was shocked to find that Siva Karthikeyan’s film was announced to have the same title. In this regard, he had said, “It is shocking to see the announcement of Sivakarthikeyan’s film with the same title. We are not ready to sacrifice the title for anyone and have written a letter to the Producers Council.” The issue was finally resolved with both the films opting for the same title.

Vijay Deverakonda’s next film release will be Dear Comrade, which will hit the marquee next month.
