Abhishek Ambareesh’s debut film ‘Amar’ gets a release date

Abhishek Ambreesh’s debut movie Amar is all set to release on May 31. Dedicated to his father, the ace actor and politician, Ambareesh, the film’s release is scheduled in such a way that it happens after the star’s birth anniversary, which falls on May 29.

Directed by Nagashekar, Amar is being bankrolled under the banner Sandesh Productions. The shooting of this film commenced last year and was wrapped up recently. Amar’s technical crew comprises Arjun Janya for composing music, Satya Hegde to crank the camera and Sania Sardhariya to design the costumes.

The film has Tanya Hope playing the female lead. A major portion of the film has been shot in Switzerland, we hear. Interestingly, the makers of Amar have confirmed that Darshan will be playing a small role in the film. Scenes involving Darshan were shot for a period of three days at various locations in and around Bengaluru and that includes a song sequence. It is heard through sources that Darshan’s character in Amar will be crucial and will bring out the turning point in the story. 

Abhishek plays a biker in this film and had said earlier, “Bike racing is new and I am excited about this. I have been meeting experts and rallyists and understanding what it is to be on the track. I’m working on my body language and understanding.” 

The makers of this film have been waiting for the elections to get over and have decided to release after it. With Amar set for release, Abhishek is gearing up for his next which reported to be directed by Mahesh Rao of Santhu Straight Forward fame. Though Santhu Straight Forward was released in 2016, the director did not come up with his next film until now. The new project is expected to hit the marquee soon after elections.
