Actor Aadhi Pinisetty, who has proved his mettle with films such as Mirugam and Eeram is gearing up for his next film, a bilingual titled Clap with the tagline The Sound of Success. To be made in Tamil and Telugu, this film will be directed by Prithvi Adithya.
The film was launched in Hyderabad recently. Touted to be a sports drama, the film will have Aadhi playing an athlete. It is being said that the actor has undergone rigorous training to get into the skin of the character he plays in Clap.
Speaking about the film, Aadhi has told in an interview to the Cinemaexpress, “The sports element will be depicted with authenticity, and the script will be devoid of the usual done-to-death sports-drama tropes. The leading ladies - Akanksha Singh and Krisha Kurup - have undergone three months of vigorous training for looking the parts.”
An interesting addition to the technical crew of Clap is the maestro Ilaiyaraaja. On working with the legendary music composer, he said, “We are blessed to have Ilaiyaraja sir on board. Even though its a sports-drama, he is the only composer who can ace the musical interpretation of human emotions. For decades, his sound has had an emotional connection with everyone across languages, and I believe the plethora of emotions in our film will be conveyed through his music.”
Reports are that Nasser and Prakash Raj have crucial roles to plays in this flick. Clap will be produced IB Karthikeyan and M Rajasekhar Reddy.
Aadhi’s last release was the bilingual U Turn in which he shared the screen space with Samantha Akkineni. The film was directed by Pawan Wadeyar who had directed the film’s original version in Kannada. U Turn also had Rahul Ravindran in a pivotal role.
The actor was supposed to star in the Tamil remake of Telugu blockbuster RX 100. He had even confirmed in a media statement that he is doing the project and was thrilled about the opportunity.
“When I saw the film, I felt it was more suitable for our Tamil audience. And that’s one of the reasons why I wanted to be a part of this project,” Aadhi had said last year. The project was supposed to go on the floors from last October. However, there’s no update on the project since the first announcement was made many months ago.
