'1971: Beyond Borders' to be first Malayalam film offering virtual reality experience

1971: Beyond Borders will be the first Malayalam film to offer a Virtual Reality experience for viewers. Announcing this on Facebook, the film’s lead Mohanlal shared the link in which he and director Major Ravi are seen watching the film’s trailer and experiencing the VR effects. And of course, this has gone viral as expected.

Directed by Major Ravi, the film has Mohanlal and Allu Sirish with the latter making his debut in Mollywood. The film, which is the fourth instalment in the Major Mahadevan series, will hit the marquee on April 7 along with its Hindi and Telugu versions. The three other films in the Major Mahadevan series are: Keerthi Chakra (2006), Kurukshetra (2008), and Kandahar (2010).

Based on the Indo – Pak war that happened in 1971, the film also stars Arunoday Singh, Renji Panicker, Sudheer Karamana, Saiju Kurup, Asha Sarath, Priyanka Agrawal, Srushti Dange, Neha Khan, Padmaraj Ratheesh, Pradeep Chandran, Krishna Kumar and Manikuttan. Haneef Mohammed has produced this war drama under his banner Red Rose Creations.
