The News Minute | November 18, 2015 | 07:55 pm IST The publishers of Dragon Age: Inquisition, an upcoming video game, have decided not to release the game in India due to the homosexual content in the game, states a report by Pink News. Dorian, one of the principal characters featured in the game, is gay. In Dragon Age: Inquisition, a role-playing game, players could have a romantic or sexual relationship with Dorian only if they too are playing as a male character, adds the report. The game will not be released in India taking into account the country's obscenity laws, reports International Business Times. The publisher of the game Electronic Arts, in a statement, said; 'In order to avoid a breach of local content laws, Electronic Arts has withdrawn Dragon Age: Inquisition from sale in India'. 'All affected purchases for Dragon Age: Inquisition will be refunded. This applies regardless of payment method or date of purchase. Dragon Age: Inquisition may still temporarily appear in your Origin library, but it will be removed before its launch date', the statement added. A report by NDTV states, 'The distributor for the game, Milestone Interactive said that this refers to the game's homosexual sex scenes. Rather than face the wrath of some of India's more prudish segments of society, EA have pre-emptively decided to make the game unavailable in India, without confirming or commenting on which local laws were being breached.'
