Superstar Rajinikanth wants success meet for Vijay's 'Theri'

Written by : TNM

Guess who wants to celebrate the success of Vijay-starrer Theri? While most of us would expect the film’s producer Kalaipuli Thanu to go gaga over the success, it’s superstar Rajinikanth who apparently has requested for a success meet to celebrate the phenomenal run of Theri, which grossed over INR 100 crore worldwide in just two weeks.

In his recent interview to a popular portal, Thanu revealed that Rajinikanth had been inquiring about Theri and its success ever since it hit the screens.

Both Rajinikanth and Vijay are extremely fond of each other. Vijay, too, according to Thanu, has told him that he’s eagerly waiting for the release of the Thalaivar’s Kabali, which will hit the screens worldwide on July 1.

Upon learning about Rajinikanth’s request, Vijay’s fans have gone berserk for the superstar and wish that he teams up with their Ilaiyathalapathy. It will indeed be a very special project, both for the fans and the trade if Rajinikanth and Vijay plan to collaborate over a project.

Currently holidaying in the US with his family, Rajinikanth will resume work on Shankar’s magnum opus, 2.0 from the third week of June. Vijay, meanwhile, is busy shooting for his next yet-untitled project with director Bharathan.
