P Unnikrishnan won the national award for his debut film songs "Ennavale Adi Ennavale" in 1994. and "Uyirum Neeye” composed by AR Rahman. However, now his young daughter, Uthara Unnikrishnan, has won the Best Female Playback singer for her debut song ‘Azhagu’ in the movie SaivamUnnikrishnan with Uthara.
