The News Minute| November 25, 2014| 03.30 pmNo rules at school would sound like music to a child’s ears and the doom for teachers and parents alike, but a school has just done that with its ‘No rules’ policy. The school on the outskirts of Auckland has rubbished the preconceived notion that rules growing up make better children by advocating a no rule policy in its playgrounds for its students, some as young as five, reported JourneyMan. The students can be seen jumping around with a number of home-made objects, racing about and climbing trees.“When kids are on their own learning to do things for themselves, some of the lessons may be hard but they are good lessons,” Bruce McLachlan, the school's principal told Journeyman. So what rules does he have for the kids? The only rule this humorous principal has for his students is that the kids cannot kill each other. That’s the only rule according to this school’s principal. Started off as an experiment, the school had teamed up with a university in aim towards encouraging active play, according to TVNZ. Interestingly, the kids were that preoccupied with mudsliding, skateboarding and tree climbing, that t seemed to have completely forgotten technology in the form of gadgets or phones. They seemed too busy for technology, said Journeyman, a statement that will bring hope for the future in this technology-addicted world.Watch the video to know more about this amazing school.
