Robot battle: Japanese war robot creators accept America's challenge

Written by : TNM

In what could be touted as the world's first ever giant robot duel, Japan's Suidobashi Heavy Industry has accepted a challenge from US based 'Megabots' for a face off between their two robots.  It all started after the US giant-robot company put out a video on YouTube challenging Japan and asking them to name a battlefield and "meet in one year's time." Kogoro Kurata, the CEO, Founder and creator of  the Japanese robot called "Kuratas" delivered his own response to the Megabots' challenge. "Yeah I'll fight. Absolutely" he said, while mockingly adding "Just building something huge and sticking guns on it? Its super American"MegaBots’ co-founder Gui Cavalcanti told Quartz that the fight was on and the two teams will need to work on ground rules, to figure out “how not to die," as the robots are manned. While the american robot is a two seater, the Japanese require only one person to control the machine. Brace yourselves. It's time for a robot battle!
