Ram Gopal Varma just proved that he is creepier than Donald Trump

Written by : TNM Staff

Bollywood director Ram Gopal Varma is known for his controversial statements on social media. So in the event of Donald Trump winning the US presidential election, Varma couldn’t help but contribute his two cents.

The filmmaker was discussing the US elections on Twitter when the tweets took an atrocious turn when he made a reference to Barack Obama and Michelle Obama's reaction to the election result saying:

"Obama's and Michelle Obama's faces must have turned blacker than this with today's trumping result."

In another set of tweets, Varma talked about the to-be First Lady Melania Trump and Michelle Obama in a manner that grossly sexually objectified them.

Juxtaposing pictures of Melania Trump and Michelle Obama, he said:

He also used Donald Trump’s catch phrase, “Make America great again”, in a completely different and sexist context in a tweet that read, "US got its hottest 1st Lady since all wives of presidents starting from George Washington ..1002 kisses to Trump for making America Greater."

And when people called him out on his comments, Varma defended himself implying that he was acknowledging the obsession with white skin, and that he was “truthfulist, intellectualist and a sincere common sensist”.

Yes, we’re as astounded as you are. But RGV’s most recent rant can give Trump’s racist and sexist statements some serious competition.
