The News Minute | February 5, 2015 | 04:58 pm IST Ever since All India Bakchod (AIB) released the trailer of its 'roast' with Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, they managed to kick up a controversy that seems to be only growing by the day.The videos of the Knockout released late last month garnered around 8 million views until it was taken down by the group following mounting criticism for the show from political parties and the announcement of the Maharashtra government to probe the show. In a post published on a social networking forum, the comedy group clarified that the videos had not been taken down due to outside pressure, but as a “pragmatic” decision on their part. Several complaints have reportedly been filed against AIB and the actors who took part in the event with some apparently even demanding an apology from the hosts. Here is a list of some of the organisations and individuals who openly voiced their criticism about the 'roast' or have filed a complaint against them. (Image source: All India Bakchod Facebook Page)FWICEThe Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), the film and television industry’s trade body, demanded an unconditional apology from film celebrities- Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Karan Johar, who were part of the ‘AIB Knockout’ show . In a statement issued after a meeting on Wednesday, the federation warned of strict disciplinary action if these actors failed to tender an apology soon and even threatened to ban their films.(Screen grab) Brahman Ekta Seva SansthanAn apology was also demanded by an NGO, Brahman Ekta Seva Sansthan, which has reportedly lodged a complaint with the Saki Naka police.Akhilesh Tiwari, President of Brahman Ekta Seva Sanstha in Mumbai filed a four page complaint with the police against AIB, for using “filthy and abusive language”. (Screen grab) Maharasthra Christian Youth ForumA Catholic group called “Maharashtra Christian Youth Forum” led a protest which culminated into filing an FIR against AIB because they believed the show is “against Christ”. (A still from Gunday; Image source: GundayTheFilm Facebook Page)NCP student wingA show by Aditi Mittal, one of the members on the All India Bakchod Roast panel, in south Mumbai was reportedly cancelled after threats from workers belonging to a political outfit.The show scheduled for Wednesday was reportedly cancelled after political workers created a scene at the spot demanding that it be cancelled. The workers, said to be part of the NCP’s student wing according to Krishna Prakash, Additional Commissioner of Police (South), were against Mittal's show from being hosted and allegedly even threatened disruption if it was held. However, one particular tweet by Pandit, directed towards director Karan Johar, was heavily criticised across social media forums.  Pandit wrote, ‘Karan Johar could have easily shown his position while performing sex to his mom at home instead of making it public.#AIB Porn Show.’Read: How is AIB roast 'porn' and your tweet not vulgar, Mr.Ashoke Pandit?Farida JalalAIB's knockout reportedly also took a dig at veteran actress Farida Jalal, among other celebrities including Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhat, Sonalkshi Sinha and Sanjay Kapoor. However, the makers of the show apparently had taken prior consent from the all other celebs before the show, except from Jalal. According to a Mid-Day report, comedian Ashish Shakya had said: "You know Karan, 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' is Ranveer's favourite film. Even now when he watches the movie, he has to reach for tissues because he is the only guy who can jerk off to Farida Jalal."Jalal told Mid-Day that people did not like the show because 'it's not our culture'. She added that she hadn't seen the entire show and that if they did poke fun at her then "it's quite embarrassing and no they didn't take my consent."Anil KapoorBollywood actor Anil Kapoor is reportedly miffed at his family members for taking part in AIB's roast, which also poked fun at him. 'He is supposed to have said that the stand up comedian must be slapped instead of laughing at the jokes and receiving applause', states a report by DNA.
