27-year-old Keow Wee Loong recently bypassed authorities and entered the Fukushima exclusion zone illegally. And while his actions are against the law, the photographs from his rendezvous are never seen before and startling.

The Malaysian photographer, in a Facebook post described his experience – “When I entered the red zone, I felt a burning sensation in my eyes and thick chemical smell,” he says. He explored the exclusion zone with only a gas mask on.

“Not many people have seen this town for the last 5 years. It is like it vanished. I can find food, money, gold, laptop and other valuables in the red zone. I'm amazed nobody looted this town clean,” he says in the Facebook post.
