Meet the oldest living land creature in the world

The News Minute | February 03, 2015 | 09.20 am ISTAt the age of 183, its not easy for Jonathan to be walking around .Born in the year of 1832, Jonathan has not only been witness to two world wars but  many revolutions, he was also photographed with a 1902 Boer War prisoner, reports Telegraph. Jonathan, a tortoise of the species testudinidae cryptodira he was first brought to the island of St Helena, a British territory in the South Atlantic, in 1882. Watch the video as Jonathan Hollins, the islands veterinary doctor  talks about his feeding habits, and the history behind the oldest land animal in the world. According to him, he loves people , loving the company around him on the island. Considering how slow tortoises already are, this 183 year-old creature is a wonder.
