Actor Aamir Khan has been subjected to controversy after activist Manoranjan Roy sent him a legal notice for using the National Emblem as the title of his popular television show "Satyamev Jayate", apparently without the permission of the Central government.According to a report by The Indian Express, the notice says that the title of the show is a part of the State Emblem which cannot be used without permission as per State Emblem of India (Prohibition of Improper Use) Act 2009.The law also says that a patent which contains the State Emblem or its part cannot be registered by any authority and “it cannot be used to get monetary benefit or for the purpose of advertisement.”The notice sent by advocate Manoj Singh on the behalf of Roy to the producers Aamir Khan, his wife Kiran Rao and the show’s director Satyajit Bhatkal demands the show producers to furnish a copy of the government permission. “Otherwise our client has given us peremptory instructions to initiate legal proceedings against you,” it says.
