The decision by the court comes after a petition was filed by head of Puthiya Tamilagam, K Krishnasamy, who wanted a stay on the movie’s release alleging that it could cause clashes between communities in south Tamil Nadu. Even though a screening was arranged for judges appointed by the court, following arguments, the judges walked out of the private screening without watching the entire movie on Tuesday morning. It was then that the producers of the movie made a surprise decision to advance the movie’s release by a day to Wednesday. At a press meet which included the Studio Green, the producers of the movie and Sarath Kumar, president South Indian Film Artistes' Association, the decision to release the movie a day early was announced, after the court's decision. The movie had already received a U/a certificate from the Censor board when the complaint was filed against its release. Read Judges walk out of Komban screening, producers advance movie's release date
