Written by : TNM

The News Minute| October 25, 2014| 7.00 pm ISTA company called Hendo struck gold as it has invented the first working prototype of the “Hover board”. A concept made famous by Steven Spielberg in his “Back to the future” trilogy, the hover board is no longer fiction as the California based company has stumbled upon the formula for the viable prototype. Like many great inventions, this was also discovered by accident. The inventor was looking for a way to protect buildings from Earthquakes while he discovered a way to make objects levitate with the help of magnetic fields. The project already has a page on Kick starter where people can donate an amount ranging from 1 dollar to above 10,000 dollars. The project has almost two thousand backers and has collected 347,382 dollars exceeding their original goal of 250,000 and still has 50 days to go. The response of the public to this project leaves us in no doubt about the enthusiasm with which we look forward to making something that was once a part of science fiction, reality. Read this Wired article for the science behind the hoverboard.
